Ytmp4 is a free web tool for saving YouTube videos as MP4 files or as MP3 audio. It works in the browser on your phone, tablet or computer. There is nothing to install and no account to create.
How it works
It takes three short steps:
- Copy the link of a YouTube video or Short.
- Paste it into Ytmp4 and tap Start to see every quality with its size.
- Tap Get or any quality, and the file opens in a new tab, ready to save.
Formats and qualities
Video comes as MP4 in 1080p, 720p, 480p, 360p, 240p or 144p, depending on what the original video offers. Audio comes as MP3, and you can choose 320, 256, 192 or 128 kbps. Ytmp4 picks the best quality for you, and you can change it with one tap.
Honest limits
We like to be clear about what Ytmp4 cannot do:
- Video goes up to 1080p.
- Download links work for a few hours, so paste the video link again if an old one stops working.
- Only public videos work. Private, removed or blocked videos cannot be saved.
- One video at a time: playlists and channels are not supported.
Made for phones
Most people use Ytmp4 on a phone, so the page is built for small screens first: a paste button inside the box, large buttons and files that open in a new tab, so the page stays where you left it. It works the same way on a computer.
